The ITAD & Circular Electronics Conference and Expo 2025 is set to be hosted on 11-12 June 2025 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, by Trans-World Events and Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI).

The conference will be Europe’s first dedicated event for IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and circular electronics, bringing together stakeholders within the industry to address the challenges and opportunities of creating a circular electronics economy.

The event will welcome electronics manufacturers, IT hardware leasing companies, data centre operators, electronics repairers, resellers, policymakers, and other industry professionals. Attendees will gain insights into emerging market trends, new tools for ITAD and electronics lifecycle management, and opportunities for networking across the supply chain.

Commenting on what attendees can expect from the show, Amanda Tring, Marketing Manager for Trans-World Events, said: “The 2025 event brings together key players in ITAD and circular electronics to share insights, explore innovations, and build partnerships that drive real progress in sustainability and resource recovery.

“It’s a unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders and impact the future of responsible electronics management.”

With over 300 exhibitors, 130 expert speakers, and 3,500 industry professionals expected to attend, the conference will feature exhibitors such as Extreme Protocol Solutions, DataExpert, and BitRaser, and speakers from SK TES, FIXIT, and ERI.

Exhibitions, workshops and presentations will cover a range of content, including:

  • Take-back systems for end-of-life electronics
  • Breakthroughs in refurbishment, reuse, and repair processes
  • Advances in urban mining and material recovery
  • Ecodesign principles and strategies

The Conference will be co-located with E-Waste World, Battery Recycling, and Material Recycling Conference & Expos, allowing professionals to access all four events in one venue.

Over the past six years, Trans-World Events has worked closely with SERI to shape conference programmes, leveraging SERI’s expertise to drive the sustainability dialogue and develop the ITAD & Circular Electronics Conference & Expo following the growth of circular practices in the industry.

Tring added: “Sustainability has become a core priority in ITAD and circular electronics, with companies seeking more robust reuse, refurbishment, and responsible recycling solutions. The rapid evolution of regulations and the increasing demand for secure, sustainable asset disposition made it clear that this sector needed its own dedicated platform.”

Registration and exhibitor enquiries are now open.

How will the government and DMOs address the challenges of including glass in DRS while ensuring a level playing field across the UK?

There's no easy solution to include glass in the DRS while maintaining a level playing field. Potential approaches include a phased introduction of glass, potentially with higher deposits to reflect its logistical challenges. The government and DMOs could incentivise innovation in glass packaging design and subsidise dedicated return points for glass-handling. Exemptions for smaller businesses unable to handle glass might also be necessary. Any successful solution will likely blend several approaches. It must address the differing priorities of devolved administrations, balance environmental benefits with logistical and cost implications, and be supported by robust consumer education campaigns emphasizing the importance of glass recycling.
