25 years of experience in the circular economy
Trusted by public and private sector, NGOs and industry bodies
We combine sector expertise with technical capability to build digital platforms that make complex sustainability information accessible, usable, and actionable for decision-makers in the circular economy.
Websites built for purpose
We work with established content management systems that give you control over your content without technical complexity. For organisations needing more sophisticated functionality, we build custom applications using modern frameworks that balance performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
Our development approach prioritises:
Making data understandable and usable
We build tools that transform complex data into accessible insight. Our data platforms combine intuitive design with robust technical infrastructure, helping organisations and the public make better decisions - built on open standards with full data portability, designed to scale and adapt as your requirements evolve.
Examples of our data tools:
Our data tools are built on secure, open-source foundations - with role-based access controls, audit logging, and documented APIs.
We build AI systems that make complex information easier to access and understand. Our approach grounds AI responses in your organisation's verified data - providing accurate, contextual answers rather than generic outputs.
AI grounded in your data
We build AI assistants that understand your specific context - drawing on your documentation to provide accurate, organisation-specific answers saving on staff time.
Our assistants handle natural language queries, provide consistent information across channels, and escalate complex cases when needed.
We've delivered AI assistants for local authorities that answer resident queries about bin collections, recycling rules, and bulky waste bookings - built on their specific service specs.
From unstructured to actionable
We sort and label your data - turning unstructured content into structured, actionable information. Domain expertise shapes how data is categorised, making responses more accurate.
Applications include permit processing, compliance evidence extraction, regulatory analysis, and internal knowledge management.
Our document processing systems include validation checks, custom evals and human review stages, ensuring accuracy before data enters your systems.
Designed for intelligent retrieval
We build knowledge graphs that map relationships between your documents, policies, and data - enabling AI to reason across connected information, not just match keywords.
Answers reflect how your organisation actually works - surfacing relevant policies, precedents, and procedures in context.
The result: AI that understands your organisation's specific terminology, policies, and procedures - not generic responses from general-purpose LLMs.
We provide managed hosting for the platforms we build, with security controls designed for organisations handling public data and regulatory information. Our infrastructure runs on Krystal (UK-based, B Corp certified) and Google Cloud Platform - both powered by renewable energy.
Sustainable infrastructure
We host applications on infrastructure powered by verified renewable energy. For standard web hosting, we use Krystal - a certified B Corp and the UK's first B Corp web hosting provider - whose data centres run on 100% renewable energy from Ecotricity with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.2 or lower.
For applications requiring cloud infrastructure, we use Google Cloud Platform, which has matched 100% of its electricity consumption with renewable energy purchases since 2017 and is working toward 24/7 carbon-free energy by 2030.
We follow sustainable web design principles - optimising performance to reduce data transfer and energy consumption. This approach benefits both user experience and environmental impact.
Website carbon assessments available on request.
Security designed for public sector requirements
Our hosting infrastructure uses multiple layers of protection - from network-level defences against common web attacks through to application security, database isolation, and continuous monitoring. We maintain current encryption standards, automated security patching, and logging for audit purposes.
Key security measures:
We follow a structured process that balances thorough discovery with efficient delivery. Every project includes clear milestones, regular communication, and defined approval points.
Discovery and definition
We start by understanding your organisation, your users, and your objectives. This phase includes stakeholder interviews, user research where appropriate, and technical assessment of existing systems. The output is a clear project definition with agreed scope and success criteria.
Strategy and design
We develop information architecture, user journeys, and visual design - working iteratively with your team to refine the approach. For AI projects, this phase includes data assessment and system design. You'll see and approve designs before development begins.
Development and integration
Our development process uses version control, code review, and staged environments - so you can review progress throughout. We handle integrations with existing systems and data sources, with thorough testing before launch.
Launch and ongoing support
We manage deployment, provide training for your team, and offer ongoing support and maintenance. Our hosting clients receive proactive security updates and performance monitoring as standard.
