Recycling company Casepak has created 108 new jobs at its Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Leicester since the facility opened last September, surpassing its initial target of employing 100 new staff.
“Before opening the MRF we employed 77 people at our plant in Enderby”, said Mark Smith, Joint Managing Director of Casepak. “With our second site at Braunstone Frith now providing 108 jobs, we’ve more than doubled our workforce in the last 10 months, which is phenomenal.”
In the last 10 months alone, the MRF has employed 87 operational staff, 12 maintenance team staff, and nine general and administrative employees, as well as providing training opportunities for local jobseekers.
With capacity still remaining at the Braunstone Frith plant, the company predicts further growth in the upcoming year.
“We plan to grow even more, processing more material, winning more contracts and employing more people”, Smith added.
The MRF is used to separate and sort materials from dry mixed household recycling collections.
